History - Pirates Day was originally devised and organised by John May of West Bay Websites. He became aware of a West Bay in the Cayman Islands, a British Overseas Territory in the Western Caribbean where they held an annual Pirates Week. The first Pirates Day for our West Bay was held in August 2009. In 2014, all the homemade games and accrued prizes were donated to the West Bay Days group for a pirate themed West Bay Day. The following year (2015), the first dedicated Pirates Day was held to coincide with the school half term in May. In 2025, Pirates Day was extended to form Pirates Weekend.
Organised by West Bay Days since 2015.
